Thought just suddenly struck me as interesting that so many of us try to make sure our blog posts are all clean and polished before we ever hit the "Publish" button.
It would be kind of fun to do a "work in progress" post. Maybe post the 1st draft, get comments, post a second draft a few days later and leave the original post online, so people can see how things have progressed.
Reminds me of a thought I had a while back: in this day and age, you could actually create a version of MS Word that would track all of your keystrokes as you type, and then allow you to play it back as a movie. (I know there already are such programs. I've used a couple of them.)
Wouldn't it be cool (or at least interesting) to WATCH J.K. Rowling typing up one of the Harry Potter novels? (for example) You could see everything in real time: wait, she skipped to chapter 3, changed a couple lines, went back to do some more work on chapter 1... started to type, "snow storm" but then backspaced over it and typed, "blizzard" instead...
Would probably also give most authors UNBELIEVABLE writers block. If it's nerve-wracking knowing that millions of people will be able to read the gibberish that comes out of your brain even after you've editted it 5 times, it would be debilitating to imagine them watching your every typo. ["Heh, look at that smuck, can't even spell 'debilatating' and look where he put those commas!! What a moron!" :) ]
Just thinking.
